Eyes are important part of our body but sometimes we take them for granted. We take care of our skin, hair and other parts of body but we forget to take care of eyes. Usually we put eye care aside. One of the most common problems that we found with eyes is dark circles. However, the problems associated with eyes can be cured easily if we take proper eye care. Here are 6 great tips that will help you in taking care of your eyes.

1.    Good Diet

Intake of proper diet is a must for healthy eyes. You should include fruits and vegetables in your diet. Usually yellow fruits and green vegetables are considered good for eyes as they have beta carotene in rich quantity. In fruits, you can take papaya and mango, as these are excellent sources of beta carotene.

2.    Proper Intake of Water

If you want to prevent the inflammation around your eyes, then it is necessary to drink lot of water. Actually the skin around our eyes is very thin and it is packed with blood vessel. At the time of dehydration, our body holds some water because of its defense mechanism and thus it causes puffiness. If your drink 8 or more glasses of water then it’s good for your eyes as well as your health as it helps in detoxifying your body.

3.    Use of Quality Sunglasses

If you are going outside during sunny days then you should wear sunglasses of good quality. Good quality sunglasses help in protecting your eyes from harmful rays that come from sun. Moreover, these glasses give you stylish look along with comfort. After coming back home, you can put slice of cucumber or tea bags under your eyes. This way you can avoid dark circles or wrinkles around your eyes.

4.    Don’t Rub Eyes Excessively

One of the best eye care tip is to avoid excessive rubbing of your eye as it is the most delicate part of your body. Excessive rubbing of eyes creates more irritation. Instead, you can blink your eyes. If some foreign particle enters your eye then it is better to wash them immediately with milk or water. Milk is good as it is a natural cleanser that only washes your eyes and does not cause any irritation.
