Bikers have always had a monopoly over dark glasses. The idea of a motorcycle rider getting off his machine with pitch dark glasses on his eyes is not only mysterious but also complete with a strong fashion statement. However, the fact about glasses for bikers is that it should not only look good, but it should also serve certain important purposes.

Protection

Bikers mostly wear sunglasses to protect themselves from the harsh glares of the sun while riding during the day. This requires that the glasses are able to deflect the sunlight effectively. This also includes blocking out the UV rays. However, the important thing to note here is that no matter how dark the lenses are, they should not compromise the vision of the biker. Durability

Buying cheap knock-offs may save you the money, but this will surely compromise on the durability of the sunglasses. Imitation sunglasses only last that long, especially if you wear them regularly.
