Sports eyewear has little to do with fashion and everything to do with protecting your eyes from such sporting activities. In case of water sports, the sun rays are reflected off the waters surface which hits the eye while participating in such sporting activities. Eyewear made of polarized lenses is able to absorb up to ninety eight percent of these rays, preventing them from hitting the eye. A lot of swimmers wear goggles with lenses that are tinted and/or mirrored.

Other than protecting the eye from sun rays and impact, sports eyewear are constructed in ways that ensure that they don’t fall off your face due to speed or jerking motions. Supportive grips to the temple and nose are attached to them. You can add some more rubber head grips if necessary. They are quite reasonably priced. Wearing proper sports eyewear is not only a safety precaution, but also one of comfort and advantage.
