Is it Time for You to Wear Reading Glasses?
63
Many of us cringe at the idea of wearing glasses on a regular basis. The occasional pair of glares when we are out in the sun is okay; plus they do make us look suave and confident. But the regular kind of spectacles made to correct vision inaccuracy is a complete no-no for many.
Glasses have been associated with nerds. Those who think reading up on Darwin’s theories of man and evolution is the way to spend a Saturday night are meant to wear those heavily rimmed glasses that make their eyes look like they are looking through the bottom of a glass bottle.
However, vision inaccuracy is a common problem among many of us. Those of us who don’t want to wear glasses switch to contact lenses. But maintaining the pair of rubber patches regularly and wearing them carefully can become quite a task for those of us pressed for time or impatient with such detailed activities.
Have you ever wondered how our predecessors managed to work around the jungle in the night searching for food and protecting themselves from nature and its beasts? Surely there were no eye care shops from where they could get their vision checked and get themselves a pair of glasses. Fortunately for us, we have that luxury.
Our eyes are made of us thousands of fibers that are quite tenacious. However, over time and with the various kinds of stress inflicted upon our vision ruins the pattern of these fibers making them lose their tenacity. These fibers become lose and elastic making it hard for us to see clearly. That is when we start squinting to read the newspaper or check the share prices on TV.
Such problems can be sorted out with the help of a pair of reading glasses. If you are facing problems with your vision get your eyes checked from your optometrist and get yourself a pair of reading glasses to suit your power. Sometimes this power may increase at regular intervals. To continue seeing clearly you should go for regular check ups so that you can change your glasses to adjust your power every time it changes.
